Lab Report: Ogre’s Orchard [Orange Bitters]
Purpose: To add refreshing and zesty orange aromas and flavors to a drink without the need for adding juice or syrup.
Outline: Usually 1.5mL-3.75mL (2 to 5 droppers) is added to a drink, varying based on other ingredients and total drink size. Each dropper has mL increments listed on it for accuracy and precision with every cocktail.
Experiment: Tested with lemonade, hot chocolate, hot toddies, hot buttered rum, gin and vodka martinis, lemon drop martinis, chocolate martinis, margaritas, mojitos, sidecars, the Bees Knees, old fashioneds, Manhattans, the Vieux Carre, the Negroni.
Observations: Ogre’s Orchard adds a flavorful, fresh orange flavor to all drinks listed under experiment, and many more untested.
Data: Ogre’s Orchard is a 50% abv solution of water, alcohol, and orange peel. Both sample and full size bottles are available. The full size bottles last approximately 30-60 cocktails.
