For the true lover of Sazeracs, this is a five-bottle multipack in either 0.5oz sample size or 2oz full size bottles of the following bitters:
Pharoah-Matic [Aromatic]
Mountain Yeti [Chocolate]
Cinna-Minotaur [Cinnamon]
Gremlins’ Glory [Ginger]
Ogre’s Orchard [Orange]
Riskin’s Sazerac Recipe is as follows:
2oz whisk(e)y
0.25oz sugarcane (turbinado) syrup
2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
1.5mL-3.75mL (2-5 droppers) mix & match Riskin’s Bitters:
absinthe rinse
- Combine the whiskey, syrup, and bitters together in a yarai with ice, and stir.
- Add 0.25oz absinthe to the drink’s glass, swirl it around, and empty over sink (or mouth).
- Pour the chilled drink into the seasoned glass, without ice.
- Garnish with a lemon peel.
- yarai - a common type of mixing glass, similar to a beaker or pint glass, used by professional bartenders for stirring drinks.
- sugarcane (turbinado) syrup - combine equal parts sugarcane and hot water. Agitate until fully dissolved. Will keep for up to four weeks if refrigerated.
