Riskin’s Gimlet Recipe is as follows:
1.5oz gin
0.75oz freshly-squeezed lime juice
0.5oz sugarcane (turbinado) syrup
1.5-3.75mL (2-5 droppers) mix & match Riskin’s Bitters.
- Combine the ingredients together - remember, you can always add more, but you can never take away - in a shaking tin with ice, shake, and strain into a stemmed glass.
- Garnish with a lemon peel.
- sugarcane (turbinado) syrup - combine equal parts sugarcane and hot water. Agitate until fully dissolved. Will keep for up to four weeks if refrigerated.
- Shaking tin - a common type of vessel used for vigorously homogenizing liquids, usually stainless steel or a combination of stainless steel and glass, used by professional bartenders for shaking drinks.
