Lab Report: Gryphons’ Grace [Grapefruit Bitters]

Purpose: To add a crisp, zesty grapefruit aroma and flavor to a drink without the need for adding juice or syrup.

Outline: Usually 1.5mL-3.75mL (2 to 5 droppers) is added to a drink, varying based on other ingredients and total drink size. Each dropper has mL increments listed on it for accuracy and precision with every cocktail.

Experiment: Tested with lemonade, Manhattans, Old Fashioneds, the Vieux Carre, gin & vodka martinis, gin & tonics, the Negroni, mint juleps, gin sours, whiskey sours, mojitos, Caipirinhas, mint juleps, Cynar & grapefruit juice, palomas.

Observations: Gryphons’ Grace adds a flavorful, fresh grapefruit flavor to all drinks listed under experiment, and many more untested.

Data: Gryphons’ Grace is a 50% abv solution of water, alcohol, grapefruit peel, and vanilla extract. Both sample and full size bottles are available. The full size bottles will last 25-60 cocktails.
