Lab Report: Hummingbird [Lavender Bitters]
Purpose: To add an intoxicating lavender aroma and flavor to a drink without the need for muddling or adding juice and syrup.
Outline: 1.5mL-3.75mL (2 to 5 droppers) is added to a drink, varying based on other ingredients and total drink size. Each dropper has mL increments listed on it for accuracy and precision with every cocktail.
Experiment: Tested with lemonade, vodka and gin martinis, lemon drop martinis, chocolate martinis, vodka & tonics, gin & tonics, vodka & gin sours, Moscow mules, margaritas, mimosas, mojitos.
Observations: Hummingbird adds a flavorful, fresh, wonderfully aromatic flavor to all drinks listed under experiment, and many more untested.
Data: Hummingbird is a 50% abv solution of water, alcohol, and lavender petals. Sample and full size bottles are available. The full size bottles will last approximately 30-80 cocktails.
