Banshee
Lab Report: Banshee [Salted Bitters]
Purpose: To add salinity to a drink without being limited by a salt rim.
Outline: Usually 1.5mL-3.75mL (2 to 5 droppers) is added to a drink, varying based on other ingredients and total drink size. Each dropper has mL increments listed on it for accuracy and precision with every drink.
Experiment: Tested with lemonade, margaritas, dirty martinis, lemon drop martinis, Moscow mules, palomas, whiskey sours, Pisco sours, lemonades, gin rickeys, mojitos, the Vesper, the Rusty Nail, the Bloody Mary, the Negroni, Halloween drinks, Tiki drinks.
Observations: Banshee adds a smooth minerality and a fun color to all drinks listed under experiment, and many more untested.
Data: Banshee is a 50% abv solution of water, alcohol, two unprocessed sea salts and activated charcoal. Sample and full size bottles are available. The full size bottles will last 40-120 cocktails. Shake before using for color effects.
