Purpose: To add salinity, earthiness, and spiciness to a drink without adding sweetness. No salt rim or muddling needed!

Outline: Usually 0.5mL-2.25mL is added to a drink, varying based on other ingredients and total drink size. Each dropper has mL increments listed for accuracy and precision with every drink.

Experiment: Tested with lemonades, tropical drinks, Tiki drinks, mojitos, cosmos, gin & tonics, gin sours, the Manhattan, the Negroni, the Bee’s Knees, the Last Word, the Penicillin, and on oysters.

Observations: Banshee [Salted Bitters], Dragon [Spicy Chile Bitters], and Snakebite [Horseradish Bitters] add a smooth minerality and great spice to all drinks listed under experiment, and many more untested.

Data: Banshee is a 50% abv solution of water, alcohol, two unprocessed sea salts and activated charcoal. Dragon is a 50% abv solution of water, alcohol, anaheim peppers, serrano peppers, jalapeno peppers, habanero peppers, lime peel, lemongrass, two unprocessed sea salts, and bay leaves. Snakebite is a 50% abv solution of water, alcohol, and horseradish. Each bottle has enough liquid for five to ten beverages.
